Another Big House Sale Woodville Gardens
Ealing's two most expensive homes now on same road
The second highest price ever for an Ealing residential property has been achieved with the sale of a house on Woodville Gardens for £2,600,000. The house is just four doors down from the area's most expensive property which went for £3,000,000 last July.
In the W5 post code area during April the average transaction price was £520,073. 33 properties were sold during the period with two going for over one million pounds. The property other than the one on Woodville Gardens was on Victoria Road and it sold for £1,250,000.
In West Ealing (W13) the average price was £423,463 with 27 properties changing hands. The most expensive sold in the area during the month was on Denmark Road going for £885,000.
The April data from Land Registry's flagship House Price Index shows an annual price decrease of 1% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £160,417.
London remains the best performing area in the country with prices rising by 5.1% to £360,721 over the same period.
The most up-to-date figures available show that, the number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in February 2012 decreased by 3 per cent to 462 from 478 in February 2011.
