Teachers and teaching assistants (TAs) in Ealing and surrounding areas are to be rewarded with puppies at a special event later this month.
TeachPlus has organised a Puppy-Led Wellness Event to show appreciation and support for local educators
The event will take place on Saturday, 30 November, at Unit 6, Dickens Yard in Ealing, offering a much-needed break to unwind, relax, and recharge.
There will be no structured activities, just a chance to spend time with a litter of playful puppies for cuddles and fun. The event space will feature a serene outdoor setting complete with cushions, blankets, calming music, and a charming white picket fence, providing a peaceful environment for unwinding.
Attendees do not however get to keep the puppies.
It is also hoped the occasion will allow people in the profession to connect with others and share experiences.
Teaching can be an incredibly demanding profession, and TeachPlus recognizes the toll it can take on mental and emotional well-being. It says this event is a way to give back, offering a space for educators to experience a playful and soothing escape from their daily responsibilities.
TeachPlus plans to host additional wellness events in the future to continue showing appreciation and support for local teachers and TAs.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets. We’ve always done that and won’t be changing, in fact we’d like to do more. However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them. Our financial resources are limited and the local media environment is intensely competitive so there is a constraint on what we can do.
