Will takes place from 8am - 1pm on Sunday 28th September
Roads will be closed throughout Ealing on 28th September for the Ealing Half Marathon.
Up to 6,500 runners, thousands of spectators and hundreds of volunteers are expected to take part. Many of the runners are raising money for charity.
The half marathon will start in Lammas Park at 9am.
The 13.1 mile course will cover parts of central Ealing, Pitshanger and Hanwell before returning to Lammas Park via Uxbridge Road.
Ealing Council has worked with event organisers to minimise disruption to residents.
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, all the roads that the event passes through will be closed to traffic at some stage during the event. There will be a rolling road closure in operation and where possible the road will be re-opened 30 minutes after the last runner has passed by.
The first roads will close from 8am on the day of the event and it is expected that all roads will re-open by 1pm.
The council has written to residents who will be affected by road closures, so they can plan ahead for the day. Road signs are also on display.
Buses that operate in the area will be on diversion from 7.30am until 1pm on the day of the event.
Leader of the council, councillor Julian Bell will be running this year’s race for the first time and will be joined by his daughter, Angellica Bell, presenter for BBC’s The One Show and keen half marathon runner.
Councillor Bell said: “This is the third year the Ealing Half Marathon has been held and it’s great to hear the numbers expected on the day have risen even higher than last years. Not only is it a great way to stay fit and partake in a community event but is also an opportunity to raise money and awareness for chosen charities."
Some disruption to local traffic should be expected and residents are advised to check the course route, and anticipated road closure times for their area.
