Local choir singers preparing for the festive season
Ealing Choral Society Concert: Bach Christmas Oratorio
Celebrate the onset of the festive season with this performance of JS Bach’s beloved choral masterwork – the Christmas Oratorio.
Written for church performances in 1734, it depicts the birth of Jesus and the first days of his life, concluding with the adoration of the magi. The story is told through plaintive recitatives, contemplative arias, big choruses and rousing chorales.
Sung in German, this will be a seasonal treat for all.
