Problems on overground to and from Paddington as well as tube delays
There's been major disruption for travellers (Wednesday 17 October) after services in and out of Paddington were cancelled after overhead cables were damaged near Ealing.
All Great Western Railway (GWR) trains between Paddington and Slough were suspended with replacement buses operating between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport.
National Rail said: "Yesterday evening the overhead electric wires near Ealing Broadway were severely damaged. As a result of this, trains are unable to run to and from London Paddington.
"Network Rail are working to recover all the stranded trains and to rectify the damage to the overhead electric wires andl expect to reopen 2 of the 4 lines from midday.
"However trains will remain disrupted until the end of the day."
There have been further travel problems this morning on the District line a signal failure at Wimbledon has caused severe disruption across the whole line, with no service running between Wimbledon and Wimbledon Park. Delays have also being reported across the Jubilee line after a signal failure at Westminster.
British Transport Police confirmed they were assisting Network Rail with the overhead line issue.
