I have lived in the Borough of Ealing all of my life, and in Greenford for 15 years with my wife and son, who attends a local school. I also serve as a governor of a special needs
school in the borough and a member of the Greenford Community First panel, supporting youth projects in the local area.

As a property professional, I see firsthand the issues people face to find homes. I bring experience and knowledge in housing, employability and skills, transport, the environment
and recreation. If you elect me as your Labour councillor, I will be here to support you, and represent your views and concerns on the council.

Despite the Coalition Government cutting £87m from Ealing, Labour will continue to help
hardworking families in Greenford by protecting our communities from crime, building at
least 500 new council homes, creating apprenticeships for young people and improving
our environmental credentials by boosting recycling, all whilst freezing your council tax for
a fifth consecutive year. Vote Labour on Thursday 22nd May.

Growing up in Hillrise I have fond memories of playing in Oldfields Recreation Ground with
friends and stopping off to buy penny sweets from the sweet shop on the parade! I went to
Oldfields Primary School and Costons Middle School and I have lived in Ealing most of my
life; it is home.

Currently I serve as a governor at a primary school in Greenford and I am very proud of
the opening of our new William Perkin High School. It is a wonderful legacy of Greenford's
illustrious scientific past and a beacon for our future.

I am a scientist researching diseases of the brain, working on a cure for diseases like
Alzheimer's and Parkinson's and teaching the doctors of tomorrow. I worry about the kind
of health service they will inherit. As an organiser for Save Our Hospitals Ealing I have
worked really hard to make sure that Ealing hospitals are operating a full service for local
people. It is essential that we keep them open. The coalition government has imposed
drastic cuts on our council and these are set to cut deeper and harder. Our Labour council
has battled to keep as many of our frontline services open as possible.
With your support I will be your voice on the council. I will listen to you, support you and
make sure you are heard.

I have lived in Ealing for over thirty years while my family have been residents in
Greenford Green for many years before that. I am married to a teacher and both our
children were educated locally. While I am currently employed in a library, I previously
worked for the BBC and am a school governor. I have been a Councillor before,
specialising in community issues, in education, health (chairing its scrutiny committee) and
in planning. My experience in these areas would help in making the area a much better
place to live in.

I am committed to improving, especially in Greenford Green, community safety, education
and the environment. I believe much of this has been neglected in the area in recent
years and would be a lot better with a change to all councillors coming from the Labour
Party in the ward, working in partnership with a Labour administration in the town hall.
Together we can clear our streets of problem drinking and dumped rubbish and make the
area one to be proud of
