Thousands of runners took part in the sixth annual race

It was another brilliant sunny day for the Ealing Half Marathon 2017 and the weather it seems even brought the raccoons out!
Apart from the surprising inclines on the 13.1 mile course it's the fabulous community support and upbeat atmosphere that most runners talk about and it's why they return to this award winning race year after year.
It's a race for eveyone and the streets of Ealing and Hanwell were thronged with well wishers and local supporters, hi-fiveing and willing all the runners to 'keep going'.
It couldn't happen without a huge amount of work from the organisers, and hundreds of volunteers - residents who don yellow jackets for the day and have to deal with any number of issues from irate motorists ( some who claim not to have known anything about about this well publicised race) to visitors needing advice about where to get a Sunday Roast!
Congratulations to race director Kelvin Walker who (along with Sandra Courtney) has made this a very special Ealing event. Yesterday was Kelvin's last race after being involved for seven years so massive thanks and congratulations to Kelvin and good luck for the future. Sandra is continuing as EHM race director.
To the runners, organisers, marshalls, and supporters well done to all #EalingFeeling.
Same time next year?
Organisers are looking for more supporters, partners and sponsors for 2018 so contact them if you want to be associated with this great community day.
Ealing Half Marathon sales for Sunday 30th September 2018 have now opened...
