A new links golf course named ‘The Inspiration Club’ is set to open in Northolt this summer.

It will be the third golf course to be opened by the Bridgedown Golf Group which is owned by the Menai-Davis family. It already operates The West London Golf Centre, a 9 hole course and range in Northolt as well as The Shire in Barnet which was designed by Seve Ballesteros

Director Tony Menai-Davis, said, “We wanted to ensure that we had the right designer to create our vision and the result is a golf course unlike anything London has ever seen – a modern style links.

“To experience the shapes of the greens and run-offs we have here you would normally have to travel to the coast. The Inspiration offers the drama of the absolute best courses in the UK in sight of the capital. We are incredibly proud of The Inspiration and cannot wait to open in June.”

Mackenzie & Ebert joined the Menai-Davis team to work on the Inspiration project in 2020 and it has created a 6,610-yard golf course with shaped USGA-spec greens, averaging 550 square meters and seeded with pure distinction bent grass. The group claims that this seeding quality is only found at a handful of venues and gives the purest roll. £700,000 has been spent on the bunkering alone

“This has been an exciting, enjoyable and unique project and, if we have done our job well, then the same should apply to playing the course. We hope that following a first trip round the course, golfers of all standards will want to return with their friends,” commented Tom Mackenzie.
