Huge Response Follows Untimely Death of Ealing Mum

More than £14,000 has been raised in support of the family of Sarah Bentley, an Ealing mother of three who died on 15 January after a long battle with cancer.
The fundraising page, set up on GoFundMe with a target of £20,000, has drawn an outpouring of tributes and donations from friends, neighbours and members of the wider community.
Sarah leaves behind her husband Ryan and their children Rhys, Torah and Asher. Her death, described by friends as “far too soon”, has prompted heartfelt messages celebrating her kindness, faith and devotion to her family.
In a tribute posted on the fundraising page, friends wrote that Sarah was “one of those rare people who lived with deep intention and kindness”. They described her as an “incredible mother” who encouraged curiosity and independence in her children, and someone who was passionate about helping new mothers rediscover themselves after giving birth. She believed deeply in supporting women to “love themselves and feel like themselves again”.
Sarah was also known for her Christian faith, sharing it “with gentleness, warmth and authenticity”. Friends said her life was marked by compassion, generosity and a sincere love for others.
Alongside their grief, the Bentley family now faces significant practical and financial challenges. Ryan, who is caring for the children, is unable to work as much as usual, and the family’s income has been severely affected. They will also need to move home in the near future and are searching for a suitable place to rent.
The GoFundMe appeal aims to help cover essential bills, living costs and the expenses associated with honouring Sarah’s life. Organisers say the goal is to give the family “breathing room” during an unimaginably difficult period.
“All donations go directly to the Bentley family,” the page explains. “Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the immediate financial burden so Ryan can focus on caring for his children and grieving the loss of his wife.”
Those unable to donate are encouraged to share the page or keep the family in their thoughts and prayers.
