Marmalade Making Time Is Here Again

Calling all local preserve makers for the annual competition

The annual Marmalade Making Competition 2014 is almost upon us. Held in conjunction with the Bedford Park Festival, the popular competition is sponsored by award-winning Marmalade Jewellery of Turnham Green Terrace.

Top prize this year is a £150 voucher for Marmalade Jewellery and a one-to-one Preserve Masterclass with world champion preserve-maker Vivien Lloyd.

A celebrity chef will judge the finalists on the day.

There are two second prizes of £75 vouchers and a £50 voucher for the Best Dressed Jar in show.

To enter simply bring your jar of home-made marmalade into the jewellery store by May 31st with your name, phone number and category labelled and stuck on the bottom of the jar. The categories are: Classic Marmalade and Mixed Citrus. All Gold Medal finallists will have the opportunity to be entered into the UK National Final - if you want to ensure you are entered into the National Final, please bring two jars.

For every entry, Marmalade will donate £1 to the St Michael and All Angels ( SMAA) charity.
