A chance for you to re-connect with your creative side or to try something new!
Bryony and Ambi return by popular demand for their second Art & Wine Night at The Airedale Bar! Their previous event received 100% positive feedback and was a brilliant success! All levels of art experience attended and got stuck into the drawing exercises and art materials that were on offer.
This event is a chance for you to re-connect with your creative side or to try something new! All levels of art experience are welcome, including beginners, practising artists and those who wish to refresh their practice. Spend an evening relaxing with art, wine and good music. Participants are welcome to take their artwork home with them! The class will be situated in the conservatory area of The Airedale Bar at The Hogarth Club.
The workshop will run from 5-7:30pm. Your ticket will include entry, all materials, a glass of red or white wine (or 2 soft drinks) and your artwork to take home with you! This workshop has limited spaces, so don't delay in getting yourself and a friend booked in with Reception! Come and enjoy a chilled evening of art, wine and music in a relaxed and sociable environment. The perfect way to unwind from the week!
This workshop is an opportunity to work from an exciting and varied still-life set up. Explore a variety of interesting textures, shapes and colours through a series of artist-led drawing exercises and ice-breakers designed to introduce you to a range of drawing materials and artistic processes.
Working in both black and white and in colour using different coloured papers, graphite and colour pencils, charcoal and pastels, we will encourage you to explore and combine materials to create and develop different compositions. In the second half of this workshop, we will work towards developing a more complete image by combining materials and using techniques and processes learnt, or dare to tear, cut up and re-arrange your earlier works to create new compositions in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Ambi and Bryony will be on hand to assist and support in any way you need.
Feel free to bring in an object of personal significance or interest to add to the still-life set up, if you wish to!
