Chinese furniture brand Homary is set to open a new showroom, taking over the site formerly occupied by Cotswold Outdoor.
The company has submitted a planning application to Hounslow Council for new signage along the front of the store 319–327 Chiswick High Road.
Cotswold Outdoor traded there from 2015 until its closure earlier this year.
Homary offers what it calls “affordable luxury” across furniture, lighting, bathroom fittings, and décor. The company operates primarily online, with a growing international footprint and a focus on direct-to-consumer sales. Its products are supplied by OEM manufacturers worldwide, with a significant portion manufactured in China, where the company’s logistics and sourcing operations are based.
In the UK, Homary maintains a showroom in Birmingham at Kingsbury Business Park, Sutton Coldfield, which serves as its main physical retail and customer service hub. The new Chiswick location will be its second UK showroom, marking a notable expansion into the London market.
While Homary has built a reputation for stylish, competitively priced products, its customer service record is mixed: reviews on platforms like Trustpilot show a blend of praise for responsiveness and complaints about delivery delays and product quality.
The site sits near a cluster of home and interiors businesses, including Magnet and the recently opened Wren Kitchens and Bedrooms showroom at Empire House, which launched in June 2025. It also follows the closure of Sofas by Saxon at 492–496 Chiswick High Road in December 2024, after three years of trading in the former Wickes premises across the road from the Homary site.
Our attempts to contact Homary for more details about the opening have so far been unsuccessful.
