South Beach Injects its Unique Flavour into the High Road

The new kid on the block mixes purchasing with pampering

At South Beach we offer you a chance to dip into something different. A spice of the unique injected into Chiswick's High Road shops. Opposite Franco Manco Pizzeria, and neatly nestled next to Cath Kidston, our 1500 square foot shop houses a creative melange of boutique designer-wear (Miu Miu, Prada, Chloe), one-off antique furniture, beauty, tanning and waxing treatments, as well as the latest in anti-wrinkle therapy.

As you enter you are greeted by an Aladdin's cave of designer fashions, both vintage and new, clothes and shoes intermeshed with antique furniture. We pride ourselves on our fresh spirited enthusiasm, knowledge of W4 and friendly communications. The perfect introduction to a novelty shop.

Beyond the quirky reception space, and branching off down the corridor lie our tanning machines, one standing and one laid down. They offer convenient, hygienic approaches to tanning in privately spaced spots. They are the latest sunbeds from Sweden with the added benefit of vitamin D tubes and a high intensity tanning effect, complimented by a high powered facial bulb, to give you that perfect sun-kissed glow. These Alisun machines are arguably the most comfortable tanning devices, with an especially made dip for you to sit within. Alternatively we also have a fully automated and heated spray tanning machine with a choice of colours by Mystic. With large individual rooms installed each session is conducted in comfort & privacy and is unisex.

It's hard not to skip in such a busy environment, full of an array of effusive and diversive energies. For we are a boutique which also offers the latest in light therapy, which has been used to counter illness and disease in ancient cultures for many years. Light and colour has been noted to have different effects on the body since the 11th century in the western world and we welcome the derivative collagen 'anti-ageing' treatment to our store. Collagen content (the primary filler in connective tissue) decreases by 1% per year, and this loss results in the formation of wrinkles. With this revolutionary machine the special light of the beauty lamps stimulates the fibroblast metabolism, and so increases the creation of collagen, elastin and hyaluron. The results are impressive and we are very excited to have this treatment in-store. It is the secret of youthful skin, recharging, rejuvenating and re-energising it.

Finally, at the end of the corridor, we offer a range of beauty treatments. Pedicures, manicures and waxing all at extremely competitive rates. Again unisex, and all sessions are in large individual rooms for personal comfort and space.

There will be a tea-garden for clients to sip tea and munch on South Beach treats - this should be completed before the end of summer. And we will be adding a supervised playroom for children whilst their parents indulge in some treatment time and space, which we expect to be ready by the end of this year.

In essence we at South Beach aim to offer you an eclectic mix of novelty, inspiration and pampering. As a customer recently said: "Chiswick needs a bit of a shake-up!" Perhaps we are something away from the run-of-the-mill groomed boutique. And I have to say, we quite like it...
