Grove Park Deli

Love at first bite

It really is a case of love at first bite, when it comes to tucking into the home cooked food on offer at Grove Park Deli in Fauconberg Road, Chiswick.

Owned and run by professional chef, Jan Timothy, the quality of the ingredients and the care used to create each dish, is apparent from the very first, mouth watering mouthful.

Having travelled and worked in many different parts of the world from Sardinia to Switzerland, and closer to home, in illustrious venues such as Langans Brasserie in London, Michelin starred Gidleigh Park Hotel in Devon and The Waterside Inn at Bray with Michel Roux, Jan wanted to stamp her own personality on the foodie map.

She decided to bring her own recipe for success, to this leafy part of South West London in 2003 and the fact the queue for food regularly backs out beyond the door, to the street outside, clearly shows she has succeeded!

Sourcing the very best ingredients is very important and Grove Park Deli only deals with the very finest suppliers, from Artisan bread makers to the purveyors of the finest meats. Jan then works her magic in the kitchen, to ensure the dishes never fail to tantalize and delight the tastebuds.

The delicious menu is changed each day and includes a wide variety of choices from hot dishes such as, chicken and apricot skewers topped with yoghurt and peanut dressing (above) to pesto crusted salmon with potato salad.

And rest assured, if you are keen on getting your seven a day, Grove Park Deli makes it easy for you, with sumptuous salads like, Fine French beans with mange tout, hazelnuts and oranges ( pictured below) or super tasty Crunchy slaw with apples, raisins, pomegranates, sunflower seeds with a fennel seed dressing.

There is also a delicious range of freshly made to order sandwiches - umm can’t you just taste this fabulous steak topped with gorgonzola, red onion, vine tomatoes and lettuce sandwich now?!

And don’t get us started about all those sweet temptations! From brownie chocolate cheesecake, to carrot cake or gluten free options such as pistachio and almond cakes, Grove Park Deli makes food every “body” loves!

Grove Park Deli isn’t just about breakfast, lunch and dinner though! If you love a little Al Fresco dining, they can pack you the perfect picnic too! So forget the soggy sandwiches and the uninspiring packet of salt and vinegar crisps and tuck in to food that’s as special as your day or evening out!

Pack the perfect picnic!

There is a complete range of picnic options available or they can make one up to order for you.

The Chiswick hamper (pictured, china not supplied) is a taster of the kind of picnic fodder you could be tucking in to when you meet up with friends at Kew Gardens, take a stroll by the river or enjoy a night of music at Hampton Court or Glyndebourne.

All of the food it is home cooked and satisfying - all you have to do is chill, sit back and enjoy the show/take in the surroundings/ clink the glasses and dine out in style - take your “pic- nic”!

Why not drop by and see this small, but perfectly formed, slice of foodie heaven for yourself. One bite and you’ll be hooked - after all getting fresh every day has to be a good idea right?!
