Chiswick Cinema's Successful Homegrown Film Festival Returns

Continuing its celebration of the local community (Ad)

Following last year’s hit weekend, which featured exclusive Q&As with Sarah Miles, the cast and crew of Downton Abbey and the team behind Misbehaviour to name a few, we’re back with an even bigger edition. CIFF promises once again to be a captivating journey revealing the sometimes surprising connections to Hollywood that our picturesque corner of London has. A line-up of special guests including Oscar nominees Andy Harries and Sir Stephen Frears, to acting legends like Kevin McNally and Ricky Tomlinson, plus many more will be in the cinema in conversation in person.

From September 29th to October 1st, the cinema will be the sole venue to host the cast, crew and creatives behind some classic cinematic creations. You can look forward to a diverse and inspiring line-up of films that highlight the beauty, spirit, and stories of Chiswick and its inhabitants.

The carefully curated programme reflects the spirit of Chiswick itself—eclectic, engaging, and community-driven. Many audiences have recently enjoyed a resurgence in their engagement with cinema generally, enjoying blockbuster smashes Barbie and Oppenheimer. The festival makes the case that the Chiswick Cinema in particular is bucking the trend of audience habits, by celebrating its community and encouraging regular weekly attendance with a roster of unique events, regardless of Hollywood film releases. CIFF’s ambition is to highlight traditional community values and togetherness and show creativity in how businesses can collaborate.

We hope you can join us in celebrating the magic of Chiswick on the big screen. Chiswick Cinema Platinum Members go free. Click HERE for details and to book tickets.

Presented in partnership between The Chiswick Calendar and The Chiswick Cinema. The festival team are Bridget Osborne, Rob Sprackling, Andrea Carnevali and Chris Parker.

“A line of trucks parked up. People wandering about with cables and clipboards. Yes! Another film made in Chiswick. I love that my neighbourhood is such a busy place for film making and that so many talented types live here. It’s good fun putting it together too.” Bridget Osborne, Editor of the Chiswick Calendar

“We’re always striving to offer culturally enriching, educational and once-in-a-lifetime experiences and are overjoyed with the support we’ve received to offer them. I’m thrilled to have the creativity and platform to be making a bold case as to what a cinema can be and can offer in 2023 and I know that through the passion and drive we’ve all brought to this year’s festival, its going to be another extraordinary weekend.”
Chris Parker, Marketing Manager of the Chiswick Cinema
