Chiswick House Sales - November 2013
Prices moderate during the month after averaging over a million previously
Having averaged over £1,000,000 earlier in the quarter prices of homes in the W4 post code area appear to have moderated during the month of November.
The average sale price during the month according to the Land Registry was £823,897. This was from 55 transactions, 15 of which were for over £1,000,000.
The most expensive property to change hands during the month was a house in Marlborough Crescent which cost its new owners £2,450,000.
The November data from Land Registry's House Price Index shows an annual price increase of 3.2% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £165,411. Currently all regions except the north east are seeing price rises.
Repossession volumes decreased by 23 per cent in September 2013 to 1,036 compared to 1,337 in September 2012.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during September 2013 the number of completed house sales in England & Wales increased by 24 per cent to 65,378 compared with 52,870 in September 2012. The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in September 2013 increased by 60 per cent to 1,020 from 639 in September 2012.
