Ed Sheeran Invests In Chiswick Property Market

Two local houses worth nearly £4 million part of his property empire

Multimillionaire songster Ed Sheeran's 's image is of a dressed-down songwriter with a guitar, but his bank balance belies his modest persona.

The writer of hits such as 'Perfect' and 'Shape of You', has reportedly spent £42 million investing in the property market. The 28-year old is said to be the owner of eighteen houses or flats in London and Suffolk, and two of the homes are in Chiswick.

According to reports in the national media, he owns two houses in Chiswick worth £3.7million, as well as six flats in Hammersmith (£5.6million), a house and a restaurant in Notting Hill ( £21.3m) three homes in Holland Park (£7.7m) and two flats near Shoreditch (£1.4m).

Last year he bought the Galicia tapas bar in Portobello Road.

The singer, who married his childhood sweetheart Cherry last year, is reported to have bought the properties with his manager, under their Maverick Properties company. He currently lives with Cherry in a mini-estate of at least four properties in Suffolk.

A property expert was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying " He's been incredibly shrewd by ploughing his money into property ....There's every chance tenants are unaware they are handing money over to a multi millionaire singer"
