The former wife of TV personality Ant McPartlin appears to have abandoned her attempt to sell the fire damaged house in Chiswick she kept in their divorce.

Lisa Armstrong put it up for sale last May with estate agents Stirling Ackroyd at a price of £4million but, having reduced the asking by £250,000 a few months later, the listing has now been withdrawn from the RightMove website with no indication that it has been sold

The 4,700sq ft double fronted property in Grove Park, has five double bedrooms, a cinema and games room, a bar area, a gym room with its own shower, and an 80-foot garden with an outdoor kitchen plus a covered eating area with its own TV.

The couple bought it for £2.3million in 2006 but after their split in 2018 it was rented out until a fire broke out in September 2023 badly damaging the house which had previously been valued at £5million. Fire damage could still be seen in the particulars of the property posted online.

Nobody was hurt in the fire but the cat of the family renting the property was killed and residents of the road were obliged to leave their homes during the incident as 40 firefighters using a 32m retractable ladder tackled the blaze. Investigators concluded that the cause of the fire was electrical.

Another local estate agent said, “Despite the houses unfortunate history, there continues to be a shortage of family homes of this quality across London and it is in a particularly desirable road. It was never quite clear whether the purchaser had the comfort of a full fire damage assessment, which if not available would have made it a bit of a gamble, and therefore might explain the failure to sell.”

Ant McPartlin left the Chiswick area and married Anne-Marie Corbett in 2021. The couple had their first child together last May.
