Orchards Of London Jump 13,000 Feet For Southfields Primary School
Beyond nerve-wracking but exhilarating means of raising funds
On Sunday 26th May three members of the
Orchards of London team took part in a 13,000 ft skydive to raise a total of £675 for the
Southfield Primary School Parents Association.
Joseph Murphy, Sales Director of Orchards of London said: “The challenge was beyond
nerve-wracking but also one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life! We grabbed at
the opportunity to raise money for Southfield Primary School as we believe in helping the
local community whichever way we can. The SPSA help run an outstanding local school and
will use our donations to better school facilities and further strengthen the fantastic
environment they have established for children to learn and develop.”
Angela McHale, an active member in the SPSA said: “We are beyond grateful to Joseph and
the team for taking on such an incredible way of fundraising for the school. With the £675
raised through sponsorship for the skydive, the SPSA (PTA) plan to buy more play equipment
for the Key Stage 1 pupils and more laptops and tablets to augment those already bought
last year to further improve ICT provision across the school.”
Orchards of London are proud sponsors of the Southfield Primary School car boot sale which
occurs on the last Sunday of every month and has been named as one of London’s best by
Timeout. Orchards of London will also be supporting this year’s Summer Fete which will be
held on Saturday 22nd June on Turnham Green.
