The Swan Pub Gets Back Its 'Five' Rating For Food Hygiene

Following a re-inspection by the Food Standards Agency

The Swan pub near Acton Lane has been awarded a rating of 5 (the top score) in a recent inspection by the Food Standards Agency.

This reverses a previous rating of 1 given in its inspection in January 2016. A score of 1 suggests 'major improvement necessary'.

The repeat inspection was carried out on 6 July on behalf of Ealing Council, the local authority, following an appeal on its previous rating made by The Swan. This time the report found Food Hygiene and Safety was Very Good, Structural Compliance was Very Good and Confidence in Management was Good.

The information is publicly available for the 1,400 businesses rated in Hounslow borough and over 2,500 in Ealing. Each business is given their hygiene rating when it is inspected by a food safety officer from the business’s local authority.

At the end of the inspection, the business is given one of the six ratings from 0-5. The top rating of ‘5’ means that the business was found to have ‘very good’ hygiene standards.
