More rugby for children is now on offer in Chiswick with London Scottish (LSFC) having made its home in Dukes Meadows last season.

The minis and juniors now train at the King’s House Sports Ground each Sunday with sessions for the younger age groups beginning at 9.30am and the older children starting at 11.30am.

It aims to be a welcoming club with a friendly atmosphere and an inclusive family environment. Regular tournaments are held as well as matches with other local teams.

New players of any ability level are welcome to join training and see if they like it.

The minis run mixed ability and mixed gender sessions from 9.30am to 11.30am. From the Lion Cubs at U6s through to the U11s, the emphasis is on all players getting involved and having fun.

With dedicated RFU Accredited Coaches, plus support from the wider LSFC coaching community, the hope is to provide a safe and fun environment for the developing players.

LSFC Professional 1st XV Players help out in training sessions and work with the teams.

A gum shield is necessary for U9 and above. Younger ages play “tag rugby” which is non-contact so don’t need a gum shield.

Email minischairman@londonscottish.com with any queries or questions you may have.

Junior rugby at LSFC is inclusive but competitive and age group teams for boys from U12 to U15 are run.

It participates in the Herts Middlesex competitive leagues and teams go on tour at the end of the season.

U12s (Year 7) train on Sunday mornings between 9:30am and 11:30am, U13s (Year 8), U14s (Year 9) and U15s (Year 10) train on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and on Sundays between 11:30am and 1:30pm.
