The Art of Sabrage
The Confrérie du Sabre d’Or was created with the intention of initiating the greatest number of people in the Art of Sabrage, being the use of the saber in opening the Champagne bottle. The Confrérie, which is an Association, advocates a method that ensures the maximum success and safety – that is The Art.

Aims
By this action, the Association endeavours to establish and encourage the greater consumption of Champagne and thus encourages the opening of restaurants and hotels as Caveaux de Sabrage, where this Art can be performed. It is the purpose of the Confrérie to assist each caveau in organising and arranging events and furthering the initiation of Sabreurs.
