Spring Has Sprung At Chiswick Moran Hotel's Napa Restaurant

Fresh Spring Menu and new Express Lunch At Chic, West London Eatery

Chiswick’s trendy Napa restaurant, housed within the Chiswick Moran Hotel, has launched a mouth-watering new à la carte menu for spring.  In addition, the stylish West London eatery is offering, for the first time, a two and three-course set menu in the evenings, priced at just £19 for two courses and £24 for three.

And from today (March 8th), the hotel has added an Express Lunch (details below).

The dishes have been designed by Head Chef Wayne Dixon, formerly of Quaglinos and Bush Bar & Grill.

The Spring Menu includes newly created starters such as Mediterranean fish soup with rouille & croutons, warm rabbit confit salad with port & rosemary dressing and pan-fried king scallops with chorizo & cranberry salad. For the main course, diners can choose from four brand new dishes - fine asparagus & pea risotto with crispy poached egg, fillet of sea trout with purple sprouting broccoli & toasted almonds, pan-fried breast of duck with lightly spiced Thai noodles or roast rump of lamb with grilled vegetable ratatouille and fresh basil oil. To finish, there’s dark chocolate & orange tart and gingerbread, cranberry & orange cheesecake – both brand new additions to the dessert menu.

The new spring dishes have been added to Napa’s year-round à la carte menu, which includes many more starters, mains, house specialities and desserts. Napa’s menu also incorporates a grill bar, which offers fillet, sirloin, rib eye and T-bone steaks alongside corn-fed chicken breast, pork cutlet, fillet of salmon and tuna loin. In addition, favourites from the “Classic Napa” selection, such as Scotch smoked salmon with lemon, capers & shallots for starter and “Open” beef Wellington with Madeira sauce for main, remain firmly on the menu.

To complement the extensive, à la carte menu, Napa has introduced a delicious, new set menu for evening diners.  With two courses for £19.00 and three courses for £24.00, guests have a choice of three starters, three mains and three desserts.  The menu will be updated weekly and sometimes daily but highlight dishes will include goat cheese & tomato bruschetta and salmon & sweet potato fishcake for starter; char-grilled chicken breast with grain mustard mash and green peppercorn sauce and penne pasta with wild mushrooms, roquette & herbs for main; and chocolate & walnut brownie and ‘Baileys’ cheesecake with anglaise sauce for dessert.

Another new development , aimed at those in more of a hurry, is a brand new “Express” lunch menu. Designed to offer high quality dishes, served quickly and in stylish surroundings, the menu presents two courses for £12.50 and three courses for £16.00.

The menu aims to use the best of the season’s local produce to create light and tasty dishes, perfect for a swift working lunch or a quick bite with friends.

The “Express” lunch menu will be updated weekly and sometimes daily, but there will always be a choice of five delicious starters, five mouth-watering mains and four indulgent desserts.

Starters will include freshly prepared soup of the day, marinated crayfish & pomegranate salad, whitebait with salad & paprika mayonnaise, feta with beetroot and sundried tomato salad and classic Caesar salad.

Main courses will feature char-grilled 4oz sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce & chips, grilled seabream with Thai vegetable noodles, duck leg confit with spring onion mash and red wine sauce, salmon & sweet potato fishcakes with mixed leaf salad and penne pasta with fresh tomato and goat cheese sauce.

Desserts will include warm chocolate & walnut brownie with chocolate sauce, vanilla panacotta with strawberry compote, a selection of ice-creams and a fresh fruit salad.

The wine list is international but features a generous selection from the world-class Californian wine region after which the restaurant is named.

Napa is open for breakfast and dinner daily, and lunch Sunday - Friday. The menus, which change quarterly to incorporate the best British seasonal produce, are designed by Head Chef Wayne Dixon, who specialises in creating modern British cuisine with a twist.

Napa is situated in the Chiswick Moran Hotel London, 626 Chiswick High Road, London W4 5RY. The hotel also boasts the trendy Globe Bar, known for its exquisite cocktails and people watching.
