Chiswick Moran Hotel Celebrates All That Is Irish

St Patrick's Day, the Six Nations and Cheltenham have West London seeing green!

With St Patrick’s Day falling the same day as the Six Nations Championship Ireland v England rugby match, the Chiswick Moran Hotel is celebrating all that is Irish with a day of festivities and special offers.

The West London four-star deluxe hotel is Irish-owned, and will be turning truly green during the St Patrick’s Day revelries. Napa, the hotel’s destination restaurant, will serve a menu inspired by traditional Irish dishes. The Globe Bar, the hotel’s retro-chic bar, will be serving a host of classic Irish dishes, alongside a tempting array of drinks offers on Irish beverages.

The odds are in and it looks like things will start to warm up from Tuesday 13 March, as The Globe Bar will be showing how the Irish get on throughout the week at the Cheltenham Festival. The celebrations will really break from the gate on Friday 16 March at 4pm, when The Globe Bar will be screening the Cheltenham Festival Special Gold Cup, where the Irish are expected to have a strong presence.

On St Patrick’s Day (17 March), revellers can start the day with a hearty full Irish breakfast served at Napa until midday. Visitors to the hotel can tuck into the breakfast for £14.95 per person.

The Globe Bar will be screening all three Six Nations Games, starting at 12.30pm with Italy v Scotland, followed by Wales v France at 2.45pm then the big one - England v Ireland at 5.00pm. There will be drinks offers on Irish beverages in the bar, and traditional Irish dishes served hot, including Irish stew, homemade corned beef & cabbage and sausage & potato coddle.

Irish music will be playing after the rugby matches are over, and The Globe Bar will be alive with Irish medleys, a party spirit and of course, the craic!

Napa will be celebrating on a grander scale than The Globe Bar, with an Irish menu served on Friday and Saturday evening, and at lunchtime on Sunday. Two courses of delectable Irish fare will cost just £19.00, and three courses costs £24.00.

To start, diners can choose from West coast mussels in white wine and fennel; Celeriac veloute with bacon and scallops; Herb risotto topped with baby vegetables and roasted cherry tomatoes on the vine; or Warm Limerick ham hock & mixed leaf salad.

The Irish theme continues into the main course, where guests can choose Traditional Irish stew with homemade soda bread; Slow roast pork belly with crushed new potatoes and fine beans tossed in a mustard dressing; Irish pave of salmon on a bed of champ with a watercress salad and a dill butter sauce; Potato cake, buttered cabbage, poached egg & hollandaise sauce; or a 28 day aged rib-eye steak with gratin potatoes, roast vegetables and a red wine sauce (£8 supplement).

The dessert round follows up with ‘Baileys’ cheesecake; Sticky toffee pudding with a ‘Tullamore’ butterscotch sauce; or ‘Cashel’ blue cheese with oatcakes.
