The first-ever EPL Club World Cup London, held over three days in Chiswick marked a significant moment for padel in the UK. Organised by the Euro Padel League (EPL) and hosted at Rocks Lane Padel, the international tournament brought together 16 club teams from around the world, including sides from Argentina, Sweden, Tunisia, India, and Australia.

The event featured competitive fixtures across the weekend, drawing crowds to witness matches between established and emerging padel nations. Matches took place in a setting that combined sport, social engagement and community participation.

The tournament final saw the Padel Roos from Australia defeat the host team London Rocks in a closely contested match. The Australian team was awarded a padel holiday at the resort of Padel Šolta in Croatia, one of the tournament’s key sponsors.

“It was an incredible experience to be part of the victorious Australia team, known as the PadelRoos, at the Club World Cup last weekend,” said Sandy Case, SVP Sport at Creative Technology and a player for the Australian team. “The event, beautifully organised by Chris Warren and his team, brought together a genuinely global field.”

Among the other international participants was Team Tunisia, represented by Arvea, who praised the tournament’s organisation and atmosphere.

“We were honoured to take part... a beautifully organised event with great atmosphere and high-level padel from all over the world,” said Sadok Laribi from the Arvea team.

Beyond the team competition, Rocks Lane also hosted EPL Corporate events, allowing tournament sponsors and invited guests to compete alongside professionals and media personalities. The business community, including Handelsbanken Chiswick, engaged with the event through these side competitions.

“It was a fantastic event full of energy, enthusiasm, and a vibrant crowd,” said Raakesh Teeluck, branch manager at Handelsbanken. “As newcomers to the sport, it was a real pleasure to take part in the Corporate Tournament.”

The event featured a diverse range of sponsors including Playtomic (title sponsor), Babolat, Mercedes-Benz of West London, and Padel Šolta. Attendees enjoyed food, entertainment, and hospitality throughout the weekend. The wrap-up ceremony included performances, guest appearances, and catering from Rocks Lane’s in-house team.

“Three days. 16 teams from around the world. Thousands of people through the doors at Rocks Lane Padel Chiswick – what an amazing event the EPL has been to work on,” said Suzanne Baum, the tournament’s presenter.

EPL Founder Chris Warren described the tournament as a defining moment for the sport in the UK.

“The EPL Club World Cup London 2025 was a landmark moment not just for British padel, but for the global padel community... This is just the beginning — the future of club team padel has never looked brighter.”

Looking ahead, EPL will launch its Women’s division with an event in Copenhagen this September, followed by the start of the EPL UK League in autumn. Other upcoming fixtures at Rocks Lane Padel include Grade 1 events (24–27 July) and FIP Promises international junior competitions (24–26 October).

The 2025 Club World Cup was supported by over 20 partners across sport, hospitality and retail sectors, helping to establish it as a key fixture in the international padel calendar.
