Preparations are being made for the opening of a new peri peri restaurant in Chiswick.
Jojo's Peri Peri is intending to take over the former Clifton News premises at number 316 which recently hosted a bakery pop-up, Bread Ahead. It will be the business’s second branch having started in Richmond last year.
An application (P/2020/4350) has been made to Hounslow Council for a change of use to allow the consumption of food and drink on the premises and the installation of a flue at the rear.
Peri peri is a chili sauce originally produced by Portuguese in southern Africa and is used in many of the dishes at Nando’s.
Gundipika Puri of JoJos Peri Peri said, “We have been working on this project from the past 2 years and are planning to make our own food chain of restaurants. We have opened our first one in Richmond in July 2020 and love the vibe and the location Chiswick for our second branch. Soon we will be expanding beyond London and plan to make it an international chain of restaurants. Our first international branch will be launching in India by summers this year.”
An expected opening date for the restaurant is not known yet due to the uncertainties created by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
