The new look George IV on Chiswick High Road
November 14, 2024
Landmark Chiswick pub, The George IV has a new look following a recent refurbishment.
There has been a complete makeover for the bar, dining area and its purpose-built function space, The Boston Room.
Colours which aim to be warm and inviting are complimented by recently upcycled wooden furniture – while the large bay windows create plenty of natural light.
The Boston Room, the function room with a 200-person capacity which is available for private hire for large private functions, has also undergone a transformation.
The George IV’s social calendar continues including an opening party weekend on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 November
There will be live music and Headliner comedy shows – featuring Rich Hall, Stephen K Amos and Jo Caulfield. The celebrations will finish off with a Family Day on Sunday 17 November. Kids’ Table will be in the games room from 12-4pm and there will be face painting in the garden from 12-3pm. Live blues/jazz music will be in the main bar area with Oriana Curls from 4pm-6:30pm. Plus, the Chiswick Calendar will be hosting a special jazz show for the EFG London Jazz festival starting at 7:30pm in the Boston Room with Caroline Coopers Pulse Quartet.
Ben Bullman, General Manager of The George IV, said, “I’m so excited to open the doors and show off our new-look pub. The place looks amazing – with new furniture, colour scheme and décor – while keeping the charm that our customers love.

“Over the years, we’ve worked hard to create an exciting calendar of events – cementing our position at the heart of the High Road. The calendar continues to grow and we have events on every week – either in the bar or our fantastic event space, The Boston Room. We’ve partnered with local organisations, such as the West London Queer Project and the Chiswick Calendar, to ensure we have something for everyone. Keep an eye on our What’s On page to find out more about our upcoming events.
“As well as a new look, we also have new dishes on the menu for you to try, a fantastic range of premium drinks, and an extremely busy social calendar – there really is something for everyone here. My team and I look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new visitors to The George IV soon.”
