Chiswick has been home to many exciting venues over the years and with the arrival of Lil' Nashville, the bar has been raised even higher. Located in Barley Mow Passage next to the Post Office and opposite Voysey House, the premises have recently been revamped and converted to a Honky-Tonk country bar and kitchen.
Helmed by husband-and-wife duo Rob and Helen Wood, Lil’ Nashville was born out of their passion for American country music and Southern culture. Regular visitors to the U.S., the couple has long been inspired by the lively honky-tonk scene in Nashville, Tennessee, and the fusion of BBQ, Southern comfort food, and country tunes.
Helen Wood explains, “We’re tapping into the incredible rise of country music in the UK, which spans generations. Our aim is to offer a space where people can enjoy the energy of live country performances while tucking into great food, all in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.”
The launch event on Thursday, January 30th featured live performances by some of the genre's biggest names, including Kezia Gill and Katie Rigby, as the venue opened its doors to a vibrant blend of Southern food, live music, and good times. Guests were able to taste delicious bites of loaded fries with cheese, pork and brisket, Mac & Cheese with a Panko crust, little smashed patty burgers and smoked BBQ pork along with bourbon cocktails. Then the visitors were all invited to join in a line dancing tutorial. With hands firmly tucked into belt loops, the brave newbies and seasoned old hands were soon tapping their heels and shimmying with gusto and all felt like absolute stars.
The venue's menu features a delicious mix of Southern BBQ favourites, smash burgers, and their own take on Nashville hot chicken, alongside a selection of comforting, family-friendly dishes. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options while soaking in the best of country music.
In addition to live music at the weekends and a casual dining experience, Lil’ Nashville will host regular ticketed events, including the wildly popular Big Nash Bash—a high-energy evening of back-to-back live music, line dancing, and DJ sets. For a more laid-back vibe, guests can unwind during Sunday lunchtime acoustic sessions, offering the perfect way to end the weekend.
On Saturday February 15th, the regular Big Nash Bash nights begin. Book now for an evening to remember with an authentic Southern BBQ meal, exclusive private acoustic set, a fun, interactive line dancing tutorial from The Country Roses line dancing team, a live artist set, a live band set and then Country DJ live until midnight.
