Young Volunteers Boost Anniversary Turnham Green Litter Pick
This Sunday marks five years since the start of the initiative
Young volunteers join the Chiswick Litter Pick Team

This Sunday (26 November) will be the fifth anniversary of the Turnham Green litter pick and volunteer numbers are set to be boosted by a group of school children.
Pupils from Chiswick and Bedford Park School along with their parents are turning up in significant force to help with the initiative.
In continues a tradition of the younger generation getting involved as nearly 30 school students have already volunteered as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver awards.
The business community is also increasing getting involved with several local shops adopting a 'stick and bin bag' policy to do their bit to keep the area tidy.
St Michael and All Angels Church in Bedford Park has recently signed up to extend its role in community by ordering equipment from Hounslow Highways. Members of the congregation had previously only worked with Ealing Council but now they also want to take part in clean ups on both sides of the borough border.
If you would like to take part this Sunday meet at 2.30pm outside Christ Church, Turnham Green, for about an hour of collecting rubbish on the Green and the surrounding residential streets. Then it is back to Christ Church by 3.30pm for tea, home-made cake and a time to chat.
Remember to bring your own gardening/protective gloves if possible. And, in the unlikely event that it is hot, bring a hat and a water bottle with you.
First time volunteers are always welcome, especially families with young children and grandchildren.
This will be the last Turnham Green Litter Pick of the year.
