With the biggest ever space hopper flashmob event
TickTheBucket and London Flashmob are organising the Space Hopper Challenge, a bid to break the world record for the most people bounding on space hoppers, the yellow bouncy toy which was popular in the 1970s and 80s.
The event will take place on 29 May, a bank holiday, at King’s House Sports Ground and the spacehopper is included in the price of the ticket.
The current record stands at 2,943 (in Johannesburg)
from
2013. They also held a similar event in Dublin in 2010.
TickTheBucket describes itself as a bucketlist-themed
social network dedicated to helping
people fund, organise and achieve their dreams. London Flashmob is an organiser of 'spontaneous events' in the city.
They said its an opportunity to break the world
record for the most people on space hoppers (and two other surprise world
records too)!
Doors open at 12pm (space hopper needs
to be collected by 2pm for the
world record to happen at 2.30-3pm): bring a picnic!
