Chiswick singer and husband welcome third son

Singer Sophie Ellis Bextor is celebrating the birth of her third child, a boy called Ray Holliday. It is the third son for Sophie (33) and her husband Richard Jones, bassist with the band, The Feeling.

The excited dad recently posted a picture on Twitter, announcing the birth of the baby, who weighed 7lb 15 oz.

“ We are truly smitten” he exclaimed.

Only a few hours before she went into labour, Sophie had posted a picture of herself on the internet, telling fans she was ‘ Nearly There’.

 

 

Ray Holliday has now joined Sonny (8) and Kit (3) in the family home in Chiswick. Doctors were keeping a close eye on Sophie throughout the pregnancy as both her previous births were difficult and little Kit was nine weeks premature.

Sophie, whose mother is former Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis, married husband Richard in Italy in June 2005. The couple started dating in 2003.

Prior to having the baby, Sophie recorded an episode of the television show’ Family Fortunes’ along with her mother, grandfather, sister and brother.

She also paid a visit to The Tabard in Chiswick to see mum Janet Ellis perform in the one-act play ‘ Green Form’ by Alan Bennett in aid of the cancer charity, Maggies.

When not juggling the demands of her family, recording career, running club nights with her husband and touring-recent tours included Russia and Indonesia-she is also known as the face of cosmetics brand Rimmel.
