Shooting Star CHASE Xmas Fair

In Dukes Meadows on Nov 30

The Shooting Star CHASE Christmas Fair will be held at the King's house School Sports Pavilion in Dukes Meadows between 9.30am and 4pm on Friday 30th November.

Chiswick is the new home for the charity Christmas Fair, which has grown from a small event in committee members’ houses to become a major fundraiser for the children’s hospice service Shooting Star CHASE.

Twenty two stallholders have booked their places at the fair, with offerings ranging from fashionable clothing and jewellery to glass, pottery, inexpensive gifts and delicious artisan foods. There will be a cake stall, sandwiches and hot drinks available during the day, so everyone can relax and chat as well as do some shopping.

It’s more than 18 months since the merger of the two charities, Shooting Star and CHASE hospice care for children. Together they are providing support to over 600 families with life-limited children and teenagers living in western London, Surrey and West Sussex. As well as respite care at the two hospices, Christopher’s in Guildford and Shooting Star House in Hampton, the charity provides practical, nursing and emotional support with its ‘hospice at home’ service.

Organiser Annie Williams said: “It’s a wonderful cause, and we have a very committed team putting on events to raise funds for the charity. We’re incredibly grateful for the support of organisations in the area, especially King’s House, which has given us free use of the school’s facilities on many occasions over the years.
