Is Monarch looking for her Prince in Snappy Snaps ?
Shoppers along Chiswick High Road did a double take when they glimpsed what they thought was Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, outside a local shop.
Could she perhaps be popping into Snappy Snaps to collect some Diamond Jubilee photographs? Or humming to herself, 'One day my prints will come?'
Sadly the real Queen Elizabeth was somewhat far removed from W4. Snappy Snaps franchise owner John Fitzgerald thought he would add to his Jubilee product range, with a life size cut-out of the Queen (on sale in store for £50).
John reports he originally thought the cut-out would make a great product for customers to purchase for events in the lead-up to the Jubilee weekend. But since he introduced the eye-catching cut-out to his range, customers have been unexpectedly coming into the store to take pictures of themselves with the Queen replica.
John comments, "I thought this would be a fun product. We had just finished putting together our display of Jubilee gifts and we introduced the cut-out to our display, but within minutes customers to the shop started taking pictures of themselves on their camera phones, and since then there has been a constant flow of people coming in."
John continues, “As we print from mobiles from our instore photo kiosks,my team and I started to encourage people to print their photos off instantly, we have even gone so far as to direct people on using our new personalised greetings card machine which provides customers with a personalised card with their own image and message in just minutes, so we are thanking our Queenly cut-out for her royal approval!"
There are not many places these days where you can meet the Queen, snap your photo with her and walk away with a greetings card in just minutes. For this truly unique opportunity, pop down to Snappy Snaps, 182 Chiswick High Road before Her Majesty moves on to her next engagement.
