The HCA outpatients and diagnostic centre is open from Monday
The Chiswick private Outpatient and Diagnostic Centre owned by HCA Healthcare opens to the public on Monday, December 18th 2017.
The five-storey building, at 347-353 Chiswick High Road (formerly Bond House, home to Decca and Universal music), was refurbished over the past few months and specialist equipment has been moved in, with the clinic ready to start taking appointments. It is likely that this will be a phased opening, with full operation only going ahead in the New Year.
HCA
say that it will provide local residents with outstanding clinical services
on their doorstep, and access to top consultants. The clinic will cater
to all age groups, from paediatrics, to orthopaedics, cardiology, women's
and men's health.
Appointments will be available during the day but also outside of working
hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends so local residents
can make an appointment that fits their lifestyle. The telephone number
is 020 3553 0319. The clinics run from 8am-8pm, Monday-Friday and 9am-5pm
on Saturday. The
centre also has a car park to the rear.
The MRI scanner being lifted into the building
The diagnostic equipment includes MRI, CT scanner and X-Ray technology, offering same day tests where possible. It also offers same day, and next day appointments with a private GP.
We have asked HCA how much it will cost to have a private GP appointment and what services will be immediately available upon opening. They said,‘Pricing is in place and patients will be informed of the consultation cost when they book, then informed of any additional costs during their consultation. Consultants will have an online biography on the website which will include information about their background and speciality as well as details of their clinic times and days. For further information clients can also call in and speak to a member of the team to discuss their treatment and clinicians options.’
The
clinic will be similar to the group's range
of outpatients and diagnostic centres such the Harley Street Outpatients
Centre or the Chelsea Outpatients Centre. It will not be an inpatient
facility.
Mark Elphick, HCA Construction Project Manager said, “While we didn’t
have to build the outpatient centre from ground up, the process hasn’t
been without its challenges. We invested in complex structural engineering
to facilitate the installation of the state of the art imaging equipment
on the first floor.
“I’d say the
most interesting part of the construction process though has been seeing
the final finishes to the centre being applied and watching it transform
into a really attractive interior. We’ve also worked with a local artist
who has supplied some incredible artwork which adds some great interest
to the centre.”
HCA says that
patients who require follow up treatment or surgery can be treated by
their consultant at one of HCA UK’s leading hospitals, including The Harley
Street Clinic, or referred to one of the network’s surgeons.
Specialist
paediatric care and dedicated facilities for children will also be available
on site, including play and breastfeeding areas. Younger patients can
be referred to either The Portland Hospital or The Harley Street Clinic
if they require further treatment.
