Two Men Injured In Chiswick Crash


Pizza delivery motobike and car collide on The Avenue

Two people were injured in a collision between a pizza delivery motorcycle and a car at The Avenue yesterday evening ( Thursday, 23rd August).

Several ambulances and police cars were sent to the scene and the road was closed for some time.

The accident occurred just after 9.15pm on the Avenue between South Parade and Southfield Road in Bedford Park.

Nobody was seriously injured in the collision, though two men were taken to hospital.

Passers-by saw the roof of one of the cars being removed to help someone out of the vehicle.

A London Ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called at just past 9.15pm to report a collision involving a car and a motor cycle. We sent two ambulance crews including a response unit and a car.

“Our staff treated one patient reported to be a 64-year-old man for neck pain and a second patient reported to be a 22-year-old man for neck pain and a foot injury. The patients were taken to Charing Cross Hospital.”

A police spokesperson said: “We can confirm at 21:18 yesterday evening, police were called to reports of an accident in the Avenue, W4, involving a bike and a car. Both persons received minor injuries.”
