The Picture Man Framing Shop Closes On High Road

Snappy Snaps trying to retrieve works on behalf of customers

Efforts are being made to retrieve works left by local people for framing in The Picture Man art and framing shop which closed suddenly last Friday.

Worried customers have been trying to get information about works they left for framing before a possession notice was suddenly posted on the shop front window. The notice says the lease at 184 Chiswick High Road has been forfeited.

It is believed hundreds of items remain on the premises, either finished or partially framed. Some customers affected include one woman who has an art exhibition and another who was getting a valuable football jersey framed worth thousands of pounds.

However, John Fitzgerald of Snappy Snaps next door, says he is currently trying to mediate between the parties involved to try to retrieve works from the shop. About 160 of his shop's customers have works involved which were sent to The Picture Man for framing after printing at Snappy Snaps.

John told ChiswickW4.com today that he is very hopeful he will be able to recover items and is currently contacting all customers involved.

“We will do our best to facilitate other people, who are not customers of ours but who need to get their work back, though ultimately we are not responsible as we are not directly involved", he said.

Anyone who needs help can phone John at 0208-7406789 and leave a message.
