Celebrating Sixty-Seven Years Of The NHS

New MP Ruth Cadbury will be one of the speakers at a comedy night, at the George IV

To mark the 67th birthday of the NHS, which takes place on Sunday 5 July, the Socialist Health Association London is putting on a celebration at the George IV (185 Chiswick High Road, W4 2DR).

The night features comedy from Red Dwarf star (and one of Alternative Comedy's founding fathers) Norman Lovett as well as Tory panto villain Sir Ian Bowler.

Guest speakers on the night are Brentford & Isleworth's new MP Ruth Cadbury, Mayoral hopeful Sadiq Khan  and MP for Hammersmith Andy Slaughter.

Hosting the night is Crispin Flintoff, who organises comedy nights for Labour across the country.  Crispin says: 'The people who have campaigned so hard for Save our Hospitals at Ealing, Hammersmith and Charing Cross hospitals deserve a good night out and money raised goes to supporting their campaign and the Socialist Health Association's wider campaign to improve health outcomes generally.'

'We've already had support from Bill Bailey, who has donated tickets for his tour as part of an auction or raffle.
