The hopes of Brentford fans that Danish soccer star might be persuaded to stay at the club have been raised after he was spotted visiting a school in Chiswick.

Arguably the best player ever to join the Bees, he was signed on a six month contract after his compatriot, Thomas Frank, decided to take a chance on his return to full fitness.

Now that he has proven his brush with death at the Euros, when he collapsed due to heart failure, has not reduced his effectiveness on the pitch, many other Premier League clubs are looking to sign him.

Suitors include his former club Spurs where he would also be reunited with his ex-Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte.

Many Brentford fans had resigned themselves to what appeared to be his inevitable departure but a report in the Daily Express has provided some hope.

The article reports that he has been seen with his partner Sabrina Kvist visiting a pre-school in the Chiswick area for their eldest child Alfred who will be four in June.

The couple moved from Italy four months ago and their second child is still a toddler.

Supporters of the club believe, at the very least, his willingness to look at schools for his child in the area means that he has not committed to leaving at the end of the season and there remains a chance that he will extend his contract with the club which showed such faith in him.
