Battersea Dogs And Cats Home Fundraisers at The Hogarth Club

With a dog jog and open mic night

The Hogarth Club will be taking part in the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home Strayover 2019! Staff members Kate, Saskia, Chanelle, Ambi and Laura (AKA The Hogie Strays) will be representing them at this year's Charity event where they will be spending the night on the streets of London on Friday 5 April.

To reserve your space at each event please call 020 8995 4600 or email reception@thehogarth.co.uk.

The Battersea annual Strayover is intended to raise awareness for homeless and abandoned Dogs & Cats that struggle to survive on the streets. In 2017, 26% of dogs and 28% of cats that arrived at Battersea's three centres were strays. The money that is raised by spending the night as a stray and swapping beds for a sleeping bag will go towards the care of abandoned dogs and cats.

‘The Hogie Strays' have a target of £2,750 to hit and would greatly appreciate any contributions! You can donate to this very worthy cause here: http://bit.ly/HogarthStrayover2019

From Battersea:

“Your efforts will be assisting dogs like Roger, the first dog to arrive at one of our centres in 2019. The one-year-old Plummer Terrier, headed home at the end of last week to start a new life in South East London. The young stray was brought to London after he was hit by a car, just days after Christmas. He had no microchip or other ways of contacting an owner but the police officer who found the poor pup nicknamed him Roger the Dodger, for the way he dodged in and out of traffic before being hit by an oncoming vehicle. Incredibly, Roger managed to avoid any serious injuries and only suffered some mild bruising. So after some TLC from our kennel and clinic staff, Roger didn't have to wait long before being snapped up and he's now home in Catford where he'll hopefully manage to stay out of trouble.”
