Hogarth Singers Seeking New Members


Autumn term starts soon focusing on music dedicated to St Cecilia

If you are looking to join a choir this term, then join Hogarth Singers!

"We are a friendly, sociable choir based in Chiswick and we would love to welcome new members. New tenors and basses are especially welcome, and we offer a 50% reduced subscription for new tenors for their first term.

"We are keen to encourage young singers too, and offer a special rate of £10 per term for any new singers under 25. We rehearse every Monday, 7.30-9.30pm, room 25, Arts Ed, Bath Road, London W4 1LY," they say.

Rehearsals start on Monday 9 September. The focus for this term is music dedicated to St Cecilia including Henry Purcell’s Ode to St Cecilia and Benjamin Britten’s Hymn to St Cecilia. We will also be rehearsing Charpentier’s Te Deum. O

Their Autumn Concert will be performed on Saturday 16 November at 7.30pm at the usual concert venue, St Michael and All Angels, Bath Road, London W4 1TT.

Hogarth Singers will also be singing Evensong at Southwark Cathedral on Saturday 12 October at 4pm. And on 18 October they will be holding their popular Quiz Evening, at St Michael and All Angels.
