The Chiswick Flower Market being held over the weekend of the Coronation will have a Best of British theme along with free beer and ice cream.

Old Market Place will be festooned with bunting on Sunday 7 May at the market which claims to have the largest selection of British grown flowers in London.

Domestically grown flowers are the most sustainable, scented and seasonal flowers available.

There will be nearly 40 flowers and plant stalls including those from local flower farmers such as Chiswick House and EcoFlowers from Chiswick and Love Day Blooms from Acton. Sellers from as far away as Guildford, Hampshire and Lincolnshire will also be at the market.

All children will be offered a free ice cream from nearby Duci’s in Devonshire Road paid for by sponsorship by Hounslow Council. Adults can get a free pint of London Pride or glass of house wine at the George IV if they spend more than £25 at the market thanks to Fuller’s. To get your free ice-cream or drinks go to the Chiswick Flower Market HQ gazebo where tokens will be available.

The market will also have free live Punch & Judy performances from Robert Styles plus street entertainment from young performers from the local area including the Urban Fox Steel Band, Chiswick School, W4 Youth and the CTA Performing Arts School

Local charity Wild Chiswick will be at the market where visitors can find out more about their work including the installation of swift nesting boxes.

The market is open from 9am until 4pm. Further information is on www.chiswickflowermarket.com.
