Find Out What Happens When a Delinquent Dad Comes to Stay

Comedy play to premiere at the Tabard

John Gorick as the Delinquent Dad

September 19, 2023

A new play by EJ Anderson is to be staged for the first time at the Tabard Theatre in Chiswick.

Running from Wednesday 11 October to Saturday 28 October, Delinquent Dad is described as a fast-paced knockabout comedy about feeling older in a rapidly changing world, getting caught out and finding redemption.

Set in the near future, as the world outside slowly goes to pieces, thirty-something couple Matt and Cara are holding out against their ruthless landlord who is using ever more persuasive methods to remove them from their flat.

When Matt’s Dad is cut adrift by his wife and left on their doorstep, their domestic arrangements become ever more out of control. As Dad’s misdemeanours are revealed, mishaps ensue as the three of them dig in against the landlord and a shady banker and find common cause against the world.

Directed by Nick Bromley, this feel-good comedy features John Gorick as Dad, Bradley Crees as Matt, Elizabeth Back as Cara and Mark Parsons as Armitage.

The play is being performed Tuesday to Friday at 7.30pm, Saturdays 2pm & 6pm and Sundays at 2pm. The show runs for approximately 2 hours including an interval.

Tickets are priced at £23.50 or £19.50 for concessions rising to £25.50 and £21.50 in the final week.

You can book online or by calling 020 8995 6035. In person bookings may be available at the theatre half an hour before each performance.

The play is produced by Take Note Theatre which was established in 2018 by Simon Reilly and Sarah Reilly and brings together established and emerging theatre talent to bring new and classic stories to the stage.
