Please Wait Patiently Plays at The Tabard Theatre

A pen and paper love story for a twitter generation

The Tabard Theatre has teamed up with theatre company Hot Tubs and Trampolines to present their new play Please Wait Patiently.

It is to be directed by Matt Harrison who was the director of the recent hit production of Pirates of Penzance at the Tabard.

The play concerns the world of the lost property office where lost items attract lost people. But in the home of the forgotten is out of sight ever truly out of mind?

In the summer of 2008 a suitcase in a lost property office was opened to reveal 30 years of love letters between a mystery couple. With this intriguing true story as a stimulus  Please Wait Patiently aims to be a comic, classically modern love story fusing music, new writing and physical storytelling. It is described as a pen and paper love story for a twitter generation and explores what lies behind the precious, plastic and purposefully left.

Hot Tubs and trampolines was formed by graduates of East 15 Acting School in 2008 and Please Wait Patiently is the follow up production to ‘Table 23’ which played at the Edinburgh Festivals Gilded Balloon.

The play written by Natasha Collie (Best Scripted Programme BBC Radio 1 Student Radio Awards 2009 & 2010).

Look out for ChiswickW4.com's review of the play in a forthcoming edition of our weekly newsletter.
