Diamond Jubilee Pageant In Grove Park


Church to celebrate every decade of Queen's reign in song

St Paul's Church, Grove Park is planning a musical pageant “60 Glorious Years” to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee on Saturday, May 26th.

Featuring celebrities from radio, TV and the West End stage, combined with the talent of the Grove Park community, the concert will set out the sounds, styles and events of the decades through the music and songs of the time.
Doors opening at 5.30pm before the concert at 6.00pm.
Narrating the show will be TV and radio presenter Mike Read, who will be joined
by a cast of 100 performers made up of West End professionals, local children’s
and adult choirs, musicians and dance groups.

The programme, which ranges from Handel to Jessie J, will take the audience through the sounds and images that have defined the six decades of the Queen’s reign.
Sponsored by local estate agent Andrew Nunn & Associates, the concert will be
followed by wine and refreshments in the St. Paul’s Church gardens, to which
all are invited.
