Summer Production From St Michael's Players
An evening of two plays, to be enjoyed with a picnic
An evening of relaxation and entertainment at St Michael's Centre is promised. Seated in cafe style, feel free to bring your picnic while you watch two short plays featuring some new and some less new faces from the St Michael's Players.
Simply turn up on the night with a tasty picnic and some, not too noisy, tasty snacks and pick a table and start enjoying yourselves.
“Singing in the Wilderness” by David Campton which will be Sheila Churchill’s
first foray into directing and Sheila writes, "It is the first time
I have taken up a Director's role and I am very grateful to St. Michael's
Players for giving me the opportunity and support to do so. I really hope
that all our regular audience members will enjoy this moonlit, ecological
romp and I will pose the following questions to whet their appetites to
come and see how I've managed!"

Following a brief interval it’s “Alternative Accommodation” by Pam Valentine, who wrote “A Dog's Life” which they performed a few years ago. Anna, recently widowed, is visited by her three self-centred, middle-aged children. They want her to sell the large family home and move somewhere more "suitable" - especially once one of them spots apparent signs of dementia (why has she started drinking whisky?). Anna, however, not only still has all her marbles, but has already made her own arrangements - which come as quite a shock!
The performances take place from Wednesday 19 to Saturday 22 July at 7.45pm
Tickets are £9 ( £7 concessions ) when bought online at the St. Michael Players' web site. ( £10 on the door, if there's any left). The venue is St. Michael's Community Centre, Elmwood Rd, Chiswick.
