Gala Performance of Trial By Jury

Treat in store for Gilbert & Sullivan fans after Hymnathon success

A gala performance of Gilbert & Sullivan's Trial By Jury in St Michael & All Angels Church will be held on Saturday April 28th, starting at 8pm. The semi-staged production features Simon Butteriss ("the amazing Simon Butteriss" - The Times; "touched with genius" - The Independent), Deborah Crowe, Stephen Brown, Louise Crane and Ian Belsey. Tickets £20.

The Hymnathon has now raised over £50,000 for the Organ and Parish Rooms Appeal which was far ahead of expectations.

A flurry of last-minute donations took the total on the Hymnathon JustGiving page to £42,860.00. When Gift Aid is added for off-line donations, it takes the total to £51,022.99.

A longer-term phase of fund-raising - the Pipe Up! Campaign is now starting. People are invited to sponsor an organ pipe, in their name or that of a child or in memory of a loved one. Prices range from £50 for a one-foot pipe to £2,500 for a 16-foot pipe. The larger pipes can be sponsored through monthly donations, from £14 per month. Pick up a brochure in the church, or download one here:

You can read all about the new church organ, currently being built in Switzerland - and see pictures of the one they built in Petersham.
