New Play by Lisa Kimball to Be Staged at the Catholic Centre
Holding is a black comedy looking at the obsession with celebrity

Perserver Productions, which recently made its base at the Catholic Centre on Dukes Avenue, is to stage the first ever performance of a new play by Lisa Kimball.
‘Holding’ will be a script in had performance of her absurdist take on those at the bottom of the social ladder and the almost universal desire to claw our way out and up towards fame and fortune.
The black comedy is set in a gentrified part of New York and contains references to violence and drugs making it suitable for over 12s only.
The group put out a worldwide call for new writing last year and received over 90 submissions and this piece was regarded as one of the best.
It is being performed on Sunday 28 January at 7.30pm at the Catholic Centre (W4 2AE).
Persever Productions says it is very excited to bring this ‘entertaining and thought-provoking play’ to Chiswick.

The company aims to bring together actors at different stages of their careers to learn from each other in a true apprenticeship-style ensemble. The group provides mentoring and training to artists to enable them to produce public works of a higher standard.
Monthly events are held including workshops, play-readings and performances. Persever’s Script-In-Hand Performances bring together recent graduates, young actors and those who’ve been doing it for years. Readings so far have included Terence Rattigan’s Harlequinade, NF Simpson’s Was He Anyone, A Misdummer Night’s Dream and Alice in Wonderland.
