There are two election events taking place in Chiswick this week for the Brentford & Isleworth constituency.

Political journalist Peter Oborne is chairing a debate between three of the candidates for the seat on Tuesday 26 November at 7.30pm at the George IV on Chiswick High Road.

The Chiswick Calendar who organised the event point out that this is not a hustings as every party standing will not be represented. They say this is because they want a chance to question in depth those candidates with the greatest chance of winning, according to previous election polls.

Those invited are Labour’s Ruth Cadbury who is defending the seat, Conservative Seena Shah and Helen Cross from the Liberal Democrats.

Tickets for the event need to be booked in advance and cost £7.06 including booking fee.

A non-selective hustings event with all the candidates invited has been organised by the Hounslow Chamber of Commerce taking place on Friday 29 November at the Clayton Hotel, 626 Chiswick High Road.

You can email your questions prior to the event to intern@hounslowchamber.org.uk

Entry is free but you need to register in advance.

Candidates standing for the Brentford and Isleworth seat on 12 December are:

Ruth Cadbury: Labour
Helen Cross: Liberal Democrat
Daniel Goldsmith: Green Party
Lucy O’Sullivan: Brexit Party
Seena Shah: Conservatives
