Autumn Term Set to Begin for Hogarth Singers

Choir will be rehearsing for a performance of Haydn's Harmoniemesse

The Hogarth Singers

The Hogarth Singers, a well-established chamber choir based in Chiswick, will begin their Autumn term on Monday 8 September, with rehearsals resuming at St Michael and All Angels Church.

The choir will be preparing Haydn’s Harmoniemesse alongside other seasonal works, ahead of two public concerts scheduled for November and December.

New members are invited to join, with a particular welcome extended to tenors and basses, who are being offered a discounted subscription for their first term. Rehearsals begin at 7.30pm and take place weekly at the church, which has long served as the choir’s home venue.

The choir’s Autumn Concert will be held on Saturday 15 November at 7.30pm, followed by a Family Carols Concert on Saturday 13 December at 6.00pm.

The Hogarth Singers typically perform three concerts per year, and also organise workshops and social events that foster a strong sense of community among members. Their programming often blends classical masterworks with lesser-known compositions.

Membership of the Hogarth Singers ranges between 50 – 60 people and it sings a wide range of choral music, both sacred and secular. The group also organises other activities which enable the choir to sing in a new setting and to enjoy some more sociable experiences not always involving singing.

There is a special rate of £10 per term for under 25s.
