Hounslow Heritage Guides have announced their programme for the year.
The next walk in the W4 area is atour of Chiswick Village on 30 July. Hear of Chiswick’s famous boat builders, and discover an Elizabethan timber framed building along with London’s smallest square, possibly the setting for the opening scene of Thackeray’s book, Vanity Fair.
Chiswick walks generally start from St Nicholas Church steps, Chiswick Mall / Church Street although the Strand on the Green walk begins at Cafe Rouge.
All Brentford Walks start at the corner of the High Street and the Half Acre, last up to 2 hours and return to the same place. Isleworth walks starts from All Saints Church.
There’s no need to book, just turn up before 2.30pm and pay the £3 cost to the Guide. Children go free.
